I will go a step further and say back it up on -2- external drives if it is really important. My son stores his data an 160 Gig usb travel drive and his computer went on the blink. Result: hard drive needed to be replace. no problem, backed-up on travel drive. When he got the computer back with the new drive, he plugged the travel drive into the usb port and the other end of the cable into the portable drive....socket broke on the travel drive. With much twisting I was able to get most of his homework off, but he lost stuff for his school's sebsite and vacation pictures when the socket fell completely out. Did I mention that he has a second external hard drive (250 Gig) that I got him sitting next to his computer unused!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOW he does the double back-up (after much nagging by me). At least he tells me he does............

I back-up to a 500 GIG external drive and make DVD's of my stuff (mainly pictures for his school's website and my airshow/museum pictures).

Thanks for the correction. NOW...go through all the posts for the last month and correct spelling and grammar. That ought to keep you busy for about a YEAR

Mudge,

It's only fun to jab at those who would even realize the difference. The post about the CAP LOCKS set you up for the jab. Hope you get the jump drive problem resolved.
