This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

If they make it past the hanger doors, they seem to love getting in between the tracks.

any engine news????? we're dying for info

you know how the folks on this board are

I just spoke with Jeff Abbott yesterday and the engine is progressing along fine. We have two -95 engine cores in his shop now, one of which is torn compeltely down (and some of the components are actually ready for prime and paint), while the other one is being used to gather up some cylinders to be used as replacements for the first engine. Some of our -26 parts have also been taken out of storage and have already been prepped for installation. I am in Oklahoma this weekend, doing inspections, but couldn't make the time to get to Jeff's place to snap some pictures. I will try to do so soon though.

Any new news that's fit to print?
Tue May 06, 2008 9:46 am
Nothing really noteworthy right now. They're just plugging away on the new engine still. This will be a slow process, so the updates won't be quite as spectacular or frequent as the few I made in the B-24 thread.
