That Cunningham-Hall GA-36 sure looks like it has some Seversky influence. Did Alex deSeversky once work for them, or did those engineers go to work at Seversky/Republic?

Me too, Nate. I spent a good bit of time in and around that bird. Sitting in the pit gives you a whole new perspective on what it was like for those guys back then, and how difficult it would be to get out in a hurry. I tell 'ya, it's a tight fit... but then I ain't exactly a small guy... LOL

I made an inquiry about the P-39 with a docent I know at the NASM. He says the P-39 is already back at Garber for the time being until it can be placed on display at Udvar Hazy.
