Sorry CHARLIE, I know all about disabilites......
I spent 17 years representing people with disabilites and a lot that didn't have much wrong with them. I that time I represented 13,000 people in 31,000 cases and won the VAST majority of them. I can tell you more about disabilites than you can imagine and about more horrible injures than you know about.
Your hearing? Is it getting worse since you stopped working and being exposed to noise??
Maybe you should have been like a few of my clents. One had his right forearm ripped off in the mines and then went and worked for another 20 years with a hook until he hurt his back so badly he couldn't operate the hook and basically lost the use of his hand again. He had to come out of the mines.......
Another client was a Vietnam DFC holder for bravery in flying a Huey. Came back to fly choppers with a coal company. He got run over by a shuttle car and lost both legs below the knee. Over the next few years he had both knees and both hips replaced, he can still fly and used to fly my AStar on occasion......... He can't work, can't walk 50 feet, but still gets by......
Another kid wasn't real bright and we got him on a check... His brother gave him a job. He manged to cover himself in gasoline and light up a torch and set himself on fire. Worst burns I've ever seen where someone lived and nightmares that will not quit.........
Another guy had BOTH arms ripped off by a miner. He should have bled to death before he got outside, his buddies who were awake in first aid class kept him from bleeding to death. They flew him out and he had both arms reattached. They didn't work very well and looked darn bad, but they were better than nothing................
Oh yeah, my son had a brain tumor and almost died when he was 8 years old. My older brother didn't come back from Vietnam alive. Sorry life isn't fair. I saw it everyday...........
I used to deal with people with "I'm disabled" attiudes everyday. The "I need a Handicapped sticker since I can't walk....... They had no problems walking to my office. There were the DSBs (Drug Seeking Behavior) people that knew more about drugs than me and counted every pill they had. I'm sure they also knew the street value of them too. There were more. The more someone complained about their problems, the more I knew that they didn't have problems............
The people above NEVER compained about anything in the years I spent on their cases................... The other ones were the ones that made me finally get out of the practice. I feel a lot better now too....
Those kinds of people have problems, they deal with them....... I think its
time to get off your high horse and deal with the problems you have.
Jack didn't direct any particular barb against you. If you didn't bring it up I never would have known you had any problems. However you keep posting your links against what is now board policy............
Be decent, be civil, let it drop here...........
