Zane, I tend to agree with Tulio one the Stearman based on the date of Bill's photo. It was from '87 and Lone Star's Stearman was restored by Vajdos Aviation in Luling, Texas in 1997 and may have been painted even more recently but I'm not sure on that. 1997 repaint for sure tho.

Good stuff amigo. Lone Star's "Little Demon" up front. Several others I saw and photographed at the Aggie Wing's airshow at College Station/Easterwood in spring '88. Here is evidence that Lone Star's Avenger flew at least once. Sadly there are also a few pictured that are no longer with us.

Yep I think Tulio has it nailed...I was just going off of the pictures I had and the rudder light location...
I have learned that paint don't mean a thing as far as warbirds are concerned....too many owners want something different (which is cool with me) and the paint changes are numerous.
