So what is left up in Bufflo, WY now? I still look through the books that I got from Connie at the auction on a daily basis.

Hey guys, sorry to hi-jack the thread... somebody asked for pictures of Greybull. These were taken the summer of 2001 while I was there on an internship. We only saw action as a open tanker base a few days, at least while I was there. Pictures were taken on a kodak funsaver! Sorry for the small size!!

Is that b-17 still around? If so, who has it?

Larry;
Thank you for the photograph. Do you know anyone who flew out of the Casper, WY tanker base when they had one there in the late 60's early 70's? So I'm told.

Scott,
The operator that I remember at Casper was Seeley Flying Service, Air Tankers Inc. He operated TBM Avengers. The only picture I have is of one of his trucks that is in a car scrap yard near the airport off the Poison Spider road.

I know it is not an airplane :( , but it is from part of his company that once operated out of Casper and one of the only things that remain today.

Kyle,the B-17 went to Dave Tallechet and is now the Memphis Belle.Info on it is in the Warbird Registry via the link at the top of this page,but here's a direct link to this airplane:

Scott,I don't really know anything about the Casper Tanker Base.I'll ask any old timers that I happen to talk to when I get a chance.I didn't get out of California in tankers until 1976.

Scott,
Let me know when you plan on going up to Buffalo....I'll try to get that way myself, give you the nickle tour of the aircraft (I got the keys!)
I just hope it will be in a warmer time frame ! lol!
Sometime around Sturgis, I am planning on doing some major wrenching on 58C to get her ready for transport...all are welcome to turn a wrench, push, pull, lift, cuss, and all the associated things that one does when working on aircraft....I'm buyin' the beer!

You let me know when your heading that way. If I'm around and all of my airplanes are up to speed I'll come up and give you a hand.
