Brandon, some questions about Allen's Zero:

1) Can you confirm that it still has the -1830 in it? I know at one point there was serious consideration about putting the Sakae back in it. I thought that Allen bought the running Sakae that the MOF/Flight Magic had.

2) Does the two seater have dual controls, or just one set of controls and two seats?

3) Any rough idea on when the first test flight might be? Yea, I know, I know, it will be ready when it's ready, etc, etc. But are we talking months or years? That Zero has been sitting there for many years now.

4) Oh, one more question, how is the progress on the P-59? Do they expect to have it flying by this years Chino airshow?

1) Yes, still with the Pratt.
2) Dunno. Never looked inside.
3) Really dunno. It has been progressing slowly but surely however. If it was made a priority I'm sure it could be weeks. Not sure what sets the priorities on that one though.
4) That is the plan last I heard. They have a large crew of volunteers working on it. Never can tell with something that unique though what problems they may encounter during engine runs, test flights, etc.

P.S. Not an official spokesperson, etc.

Thanks for those answers Brandon, I appreciate it! It's nice to get info close to the source, since the POF forum is about dead and no one from The Museum seems to answer questions there anymore.

I know you're not a spokesperson, but you play one on t.v. and that is close enough for me! :D
