Is there some way each post could be assigned its own serial number?

If you ask my wife though she thinks that the internet is a total waste of my time. She doesn't understand what I am always "searching for," and why I would possibly want to chat with people I "don't even know" on the internet. She calls it "goofing off." Of course that doesn't stop her from mail ordering clothing off of the internet, now does it?
