Final tally on types of aircraft parts I picked up in this dump are

a-25 shrike
p-39 Airacobra
CAC Boomerang
Vultee Vengeance
Lockheed Hudson
P-38 Lightning
B-26 Marauder
B-17 Flying Fortress
DAP Beaufort
and a couple other pieces still to be identified

so all in all I think its worth another visit soon :)

I think you can add Lockheed Ventura to your list. I am pretty sure those long, thin ammo cans are for the 30 cals. of the tunnel gun position on a Vent. Look the same as ours. Seem to be other Vent parts too.

Hmmm, any chance you have a picture of them on your aircraft?? There is a decal still showing up on the ammo boxes stating that they carry 1000 rds and is obviously .30 cal as its too small for a .50 cal

What is the commonality like between Hudson and Ventura aircraft could parts off one be used on the other :?:

Cheers,
Chris

I can send you the scan of the IPC showing the ammo boxes and I will go through the photos we have. Pretty sure we have some pics of these components. Also, I am sure that there are components, including at least one ammo can, for the forward firing 50 cals on the Vent in your pile there. Don't have the IPC with me (am on-the-road) but any part number that starts with '11****' is usually a Lockheed part. I'll send the pics PM if I can otherwise will have to wait until I get to my home computer.
Nice find !

Hi All
Anyone know what the windscreen is off? Looks similar to "A20".
Keep on digging! Great effort.
