That's OK Curtis, we was just funnin ya. I know a guy who works at NASA Ellington, he types with his elbows ! He sent out an email telling everyone that he toed the airplane, one time he toad the airplane. It used to hurt just to read his emails. You had to read them once, then read them a second time, just to attempt to decipher what he was trying to say ! :D

Toad? HAHAHA! That made me laugh, remembering a drive back from San Angelo to San Antonio one afternoon..........on I-10, somewhere near Kerrville, passed a pickup towing another pickup. The latter had the following painted across the tailgate: "Warning, car in toe."

I laughed so hard I damned near drove off the road!

Re: localized spelling variations. We have a problem in the Fall with bears where I live, not Grizzlies, just black bears. Still they get in the garbage cans and will make a mess if they find a way into your house. There is an area nearby where some old timers live. Written in white paint on one of the fences there it says, "NO BEARS ALOUD". It doesn't seem to have stopped the beasts from coming around, perhaps they don't read well.

I still think my worst one was one that Bill called me on. I was going on and on about holding the breaks on an airplane to skim the water. I think I even spell checked that one.

Cool photos, but you better be careful. I saw a news item recently where a high school kid's yearbook photo was rejected, because he posed with his favorite hunting rifle.

But then I suppose things are a bit different in Texas...

In some parts of Texas kids miss school because it's the first day of deer season !

Curtis, I've found that spell check only works when you misspell a word. Break is a real word. What we really need is a mind check that can decipher what we meant to say ! :D

I grew up in a small town in southern Michigan, and we were lucky if half the students (and teachers) showed up on "Opening Day." It was basically considered an excused abcense (along with County Fair Week, since half the students were showing animals.)

I'll bet most of the car combos you saw were cars that are on their way to Mexico. A large part of the used car sales here in S.E. Texas and Louisiana is based on the used car "exports". Sometimes you'll see 3 or 4 cars each with another in "toe" going down I-10, all headed much further south.
