I just realized my previous post wouldn't make any sense without a bit of crucial additional information.

There were TWO other partners in the Mustang (now called "Dove of Peace"), who never compensated after the P-51 disappeared. It was worth a fortune in Australian dollars at the time.

Sadly, Geoff was not what he seemed.

Ah ha!

I recently received detailed FAA documents. Geoff bought and then transferred the Sea Fury to the Aircraft Guaranty Corp on the same day. It looks a bit like a non-commercial transaction.

Grateful for any further information from anyone who might know more (see my profile for email address). In particular, I would really appreciate knowing what happened to the missing funds from the sale of the P-51 "Dove of Peace", which never got redistributed to the other syndicate partners, Alan Lane and Vin Thomas.
