This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Your beloved Mr. Greenwood
However I exercise restraint in promoting my point of view on other people.
I seem to recall a thread not long ago when someone thanked Bill for coming to their show. In response someone (now who could that be

) added a link to a video of a fatal Spit crash.

Sometimes what is in my mind doesn't come out too well when i type it. I think this might be the case. Let it go. We are adults here.

That's when you werre defending bills "Vietnam baby killers " rant as free speech and I provided a little free speech of my own ... It wasn't untill I post the link that free speech wasn't so good.

HELP IS DR. PHIL IN THE HOUSE?

I think someone needs a big hug. Can't we all just get along?

What happened to the discusion of warbirds? I enjoy the wix board but it seems that some folks just can't resist sturring up the old dung pot.

We've all read their pathetic posts but most have the restraint not to turn it into a personal slam. Alot of good points are brought up here but personal politics can only go on so long before Mr. Pissedofferson explodes and lashes out with a verbal attack . Right, wrong, or indifferent a little restraint can go along way. Self control takes alot more work when someone else enjoys pushing your buttons on a regular basis, joking or not a slam is a slam. Lets get back to why were here WARBIRDS

All of the hair pulling, finger nail digging, back stabbing, and cat fights are better left to the Jerry Springer show if you're like me I don't care for the personal drama if I did I'd be tuned in to the Oprah hour not the Wix hangar

Wheather someone's banned for a week or a lifetime it's really up to the violator and their own decisions on what they post.
Thanks Mike

It has been a long standing rule that we are not supposed to have political discussions on WIX. Quite frankly I enjoy a good political debate as much as anyone but the fact remains I can go to one of a half a million sites for a political debate and can only go here for decent warbird talk. I say if you have a rule you should enforce it. I have noticed politics slowly creeping it's way back into the forum. I am tired of holding back my responses because I actually give rip about the rules and yet others just seem to always get away with it. If politics is going to be part of the site how about just making a forum for it so if people are in the mood they can check it out and if not they can just avoid it so we don't have to listen to people whine about it. If the policy is going to be to disallow political discussion then quit allowing all of these posts that are obviously baiting political debate.

While Bill and I are obviously on opposite sides politically, and I think his post was pushing the envelope a little bit, I don't think it warranted suspension. We've all been known to stick a foot in the mouth from time to time...

How about a third option to the poll, "There are more important things to worry about in life".

I know Bill from talking to him air shows and there is nothing wrong with Bill, actually he is one heck of a nice guy.
I think that the only part of his comment that could be considered "objectionable" would be:
"Don't worry, your name was not mentioned"
Obviously that was made in JEST since here at WIX, we are a rather close knit group, kind of a family that never see each other in person. For all we know Randy Haskins may well have been wondering if his NAME HAD BEEN MENTIONED???
(IE a lot of us kicked in money for Jack Cook in his recent housing problems, etc; We bought guns for CAF's B-24; I've bought Jack's pics (well disks of them) on the "auctions" to help pay for the board (these are just 3 of the things I've personally kicked in on).
Like a family, some of us get along and some don't. I'd go a bit further, but who knows maybe I'd get banned too. Bill seems to get along with everyone that I can see.
A week long suspension (or any suspension for that matter) isn't proper. When this message came up I didn't get a chance to vote in the poll. So my vote is don't suspend Bill.

After sleeping on it, Hal took the words right out of my mouth. Let's get back to talkin' Spitfire.

I agree Mike! I think a few WIXERS spend WAY TOO much time on their little computers and should get lives. A few others need to sober up. Several need to grow up. I know I risk suspension but I gotta be me.

I have been on the receiving end of insults from Mr. Greenwood during a heated political thread and when it was closed and deleted by Scott, Bill continued the insults in PMs. So call me "not Switzerland" but I believe all of us need to be accountable for what we write not just all of us except Mr. Greenwood. The No Politics rule was instituted and should be adhered to in the Warbird Forum. I think if you research it you will find that the disruptive political discussions creep back when Mr. Greenwood makes one or more of his
baiting comments.
I think suspension is warranted and we should all take responsibility for what we say in public and private. And as Dan just mentioned, I just risked suspension by expressing an opinion that some of you will consider a personal insult....so flame me if you must

Lift the suspension. In theory we're grown ups here.
Much ado about nothing.

O2 pilot I agree leave your politics at home it's not wanted or needed on the Wix board. You political views and sexual preferances should remain a mystery to the rest of us we truely don't care.
Thanks Mike
