My warbird flights (so far):
Beech T-34B Mentor, N99257 (was with NAS Dallas flying club)
Boeing B-17G Flying Fortresses (Chuckie, 9-0-9, Aluminum Overcast)
Waco UPF7 (okay, not a warbird, but it was really, really fun!)

Not a very impressive list compared to most others'. Hopefully, there will be more warbird flights in my future. . .

Cheers!

None taken. I was a thinner person, and it was in Crazy Horse for most of it. I will post some pics.

L-2A (lots logged, duel and solo, 2 different aircraft Amilia Reid Aviation)

B-17 (Fuddy Duddy and 909)

B-24 (twice as Dragon... one of those coming in with #4 craped out, once as Witchcraft)

P-51 (American Beauty, OFM)

TBM-3 (OFM)

HH-1K (1-2 times, OFM)

UH-1H (2-3-4? times, OFM)

L-17 marked Navion (Cascade Warbirds, formation stuff)

C-123 (Cat House, OFM. A couple of very fast taxies up and down the runway with the cargo door open on a dark and rainy night with the tower closed and a bunch of drunk Brits in back. :partyman: Very fun.)

Allison V-12 powered tracter pull tracter, driven by a very inebreated Brad Pilgrim. In a ride that almost caused the destruction of 5 Navions and the seviere injury of one Bud Grandly, and did cause me much damage to my hearing. :partyman: Ok Brad wasn't the only one who was drunk....Bud was too.

All of those free, except the rented time in the L-2's

I've been on a Jolly Green helo doing touch and gos at the Cape, C-141, and C-5 while in the AF. I've been in a '47(?) Piper Cub, and on the back of an ultralight (!) but never in a warbird.

Someday soon, I hope.

I was in a L-bird as a little kid, don't know which one.

I was in a C-47/DC-3 but it was serving as a Belgian passenger plane (most fun ride in an aircraft to date--we were crabbing sideways in the rain -hitting tree tops. Most Excellent! passengers were crying. Not me. I loved it.

Just helped out with the tour stop of Aluminum Overcast with EAA warbird Sqdn 4. Got to help a bit with a tire change, and pull props thru at dawn. No ride yet but it had very high Cool Factor.

I'm Hooked. Maybe I can get a ride in Tom Bucks TBM Avenger. He's a great guy and flys it all over the area.

Don't just want to ride, I want to FLY ONE. NOW!

Dave
