Randy,

It's the name of one of the effects in Rich Gibson's pyro display.

Hot Strafe

"Hot Strafe" and ending "hit" with LARGE fire and explosion. This "Hot Strafe" was invented by Rich's Incredible Pyro. It has become one of our most sought after effects. Instead of using dust at each bullet hit (as in the "Regular Strafe") we have substituted fuel, which generates a very entertaining and stimulating effect.

Understand.

"Hot strafe" just means something completely different in the parlance I'm used to...

I wish it looked like this in real life...except for if your bullets are walking up to the target like that, your aim sucks! :)

The airplane is the prototype Cavalier Mustang II, and was the company demonstrator for the type (it used to be registered N4222A, which you can see in numerous old photos of Cavalier Mustangs). It is not one of the FAS aircraft.

The airplane actually has some very interesting pre-Cavalier history, too, having been an NACA test aircraft.

Thanks Randy...like I said, it's very cool to see it in FAS colors and even better that it has a unique prototype history. Appreciate your input...take care over there
