Then you have the Thunder Shreach thats porp had the undesirable sonic quality of making the ground crews crap themselves from the noise / frequency.

Of course most 'propellers' are technically 'airscrews'; propellers having to propel and being fitted to 'pusher' types.

It's said that's why the RAF stopped referring to them as airscrews when sometime early in WW2 the wrong thing was delivered. People instead of props or t'other way about.
