I cried when I found out the new owner was painting it in those markings! I wanted it to be painted as a factory fresh L-5B right off the assembly line. I thought the blue was too gaudy.

Seriously, I was always partial to that OD/ white tail version. And isn't there at least one other L5 in the Dallas area? Bet he's got a ton of background...You already know this

There are two already restored at Propwash in the OD with the white tail.
