I can confirm that the replica depicted is at the Queensland Air Museum, Caloundra. Although one message refers to "small problems", there is in fact a much larger problem with this CA-15. It's actually a Mustang! It is being constructed by a QAM member as a tribute to his late father who flew the type. When completed, it will be donated to QAM. Although a static "representation", it is being built to a high standard and should make a fine display. I had suggested to the builder that he tackle a CA-15 next but the lack of drawings is the problem. Whilst a 1:1 scale CA-15 is presently not on the agenda, QAM has commissioned the construction of a 48 inch wingspan model so that this iconic Australian design will be featured in the collection, albeit in scale model form.

Thanks everyone for your interest and encouragement. A full scale CA-15 is a dream held by many Australian museums.

The demise of this aircraft, was mainly caused by two things.

The RAAF was already by that stage flying jets.

The engine was an Orphan to the RAAF and the Britts wanted their engine
back as it was only on loan.
