Our Skybolt had the usual 5 pt system attached to the seat, and a second lap belt attached to the airframe.

Even if the seat failed, the other belt in theorey should hold you in. I think this id]s the standard aerobatic configuration

that's the idea - 2 belts, 2 attach points. doesn't work if you have an ejection seat though, I guess . . .
