I was returning from the funeral for the below: (per the JPAC report)
The U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) lost as many as nine fighter aircraft over
northeastern France and southwestern Belgium as a result of an aerial battle with German singleengine
interceptors on 8 February 1944. After the war, the American Graves Registration
Service (AGRS) recovered the remains of all but two of the deceased pilots, which were
subsequently declared non-recoverable. In 2006 a French researcher contacted the Joint
POW/MIA Accounting Command (JPAC) regarding the location of a crash site where local
residents reportedly recovered and buried the remains of a pilot immediately following the
incident. A JPAC team was sent to the village of Burelles, Republic of France to investigate the
validity of these claims. The historical evidence supports an association between 1st Lt James
MEAGHER and the recovered remains.
Lt. Meagher was/is a 352nd FG pilot.

It's funny, I had just gotten there, and shut my car off (open headers) and I heard you coming. I knew right away it was a Mustang, so I threw open the door and jumped out and watched you go past, make the turn and then come back by. So yes, it sounded awesome.

I should have sent you an invite, but we had a party at the shop on Thursday night. We always host the Goodguys Pre-Party. It was a pretty good turn out.

I'm planning on going to the open house on Labor Day weekend, so maybe we can finally meet in person then.

One of the VAQ's @ Ault is doing workups, I've had a constant stream of EA-6's overhead for about the last three hours doing 'crash and continues' And a P-3 buzzing around the neighborhood.
WAIT! this just in..because it's a sunny day, now the SAR bird wants to play too

Skycrane, SEATs, S-2s and Neptune tankers over the house today working a fire 10-12 miles south of me. They said 2 tankers coming from Idaho to help.
It is frustrating to watch the tankers go all the way to Reno-Stead to reload instead of loading 2 miles west of me at Minden-Tahoe Airport. Since they moved the tankers from Minden to Stead it is a slower response to fires in our area. They have had the Skycrane based there at least.

Today Planes Of Fame had their SBD up in the morning, and their F4U-1 up in the afternoon. Also VMFAT-101 paid us a visit in one of their T-34Cs using the call sign Shooter 92.

Aug. 19, a pair of T-6's about 1 wingspan apart cruisin' South @ about 2500' and West about 3 miles, just now, a B-25J in about the same place and direction, strong back lighting/a bit hazy so couldn't tell if it was 'BUSTER' from FHC or 'Maid in the Shade' which is in the area out of KPAE selling rides, but the upper turret was in front so it wasn't 'GRUMPY'

2 T-38s just went over, might have been a flyby for the Texans game at Reliant, but they've got the roof closed. Definitely a nonstandard pattern for us., and they stayed low.

My buddy Nick took my two grandsons for a ride in his SNJ at Oxford Airport (CT) this morning. They each got to fly it for awhile and came back with huge smiles!

Also flying at Oxford was a soon to be Turkish Sikorsky SH-60 undergoing test flights.
