Dave, I'm sort of hoping that nice photos of a pair of Mosquitoes will be possible. Last year the museum's P-38 was towed down to the warbird ramp for such opportunities, so we'll see what happens.

Yes that would be great if it happens Dan. They are both in No. 487 (NZ) Squadron colours too!

Looking at the EAA Oshkosh "Warbird" webcam (
http://spirit.eaa.org/webcams/popup_north.html) there is currently (July 14th, 11:00pm central) a Mosquito on the concrete ramp in the Warbird section.
Looks like they also pulled out the HA1112-M1L (Spanish version of the 109).

I will be attending my first Oshkosh show. Can hardly wait. Does anyone know if there will be any F6F Hellcats and F4F Wildcats attending? Flying displays would also be awesome.
Thanks.

Does anyone know if there will be any F4F/FM-2 Wildcats and F6F Hellcats in attendance at Oshkosh this year? I sure hope so!

I would bet that Mike Gillian will probably have his FM-2 there, but I don't know for sure. He's a regular participant.

The plan is to fly in one of the shows.

Rudy Frasca or Texas Flying Legends may have their Wildcats there. The best hope for a Hellcat would be a surprise visit by the examples owned by Rod Lewis or Lone Star Flight Museum. The Hellcat is a favorite so I'd love to see one make it too...

...and Fagen perhaps.
NATA FAST event begins at DBQ today (and T-28's at Sheboygan on Friday). Anybody attending either? Don't be shy with posting.

I am guessing that will be Thursday the 23rd according to current EAA airshow daily lineup...
"Battle of Britain's 75th anniversary and 70th anniversary of Victory in Europe featuring B-17 bombers, a variety of fighter and transport aircraft, and a Lancaster bomber"
I really *REALLY* Hope they manage to get the Mosquito, Lancaster, and possible Spitfire up in a tight formation pass. Wish there were a Hurricane on the list...

The Cavanaugh Corsair has been approved for rides and will be selling them at Oshkosh.
