Six P-40's at Oshkosh right now:

Fagen Fighters' P-40E
Fagen Fighters' P-40K
Walt Bowe's P-40E
Frasca's P-40E
Texas Flying Legends' P-40K
CAF's P-40N

Also, both Howard 500's are there from KANE (N500HP and N500LN in its new paint scheme).

Just to assure all WIXers that I spoke with both Zack B. and Dave S. this evening, and the Gemütlicher is still on for Thursday night.

Brats and burgers, cold stuff to wash it down, and quite possibly some form of improvised entertainment. Just use the directions posted earlier in this thread to get to the Staffeldt's spot in warbird camping around 6:00 p.m.

As for me, all flak damage to the Gigant buffed out nicely, and launch from the local Autobahn is scheduled for 0300 (with a promise of safe passage from the Amis...as long as they get to join us Thursday).

I am also assuming most will gravitate toward the Harpoon for its Thursday 10:00 a.m. presentation, so perhaps a group photo op will evolve then.

Gute Nacht, WIXers! :drink3:

Howdy All

Do we have confirmation that Fagen's P-40K has arrived at Oshkosh ?
Anyone have pics of all the P-40s at Oshkosh ?

I'm starting to wonder if the EAA put a media blackout on info from the show... for such a massive gathering, there has been an incredible dearth of pics and info coming out of Oshkosh.

There are some great photos throughout this thread: http://www.ww2aircraft.net/forum/warbir ... 36632.html

I suspect we'll see the brunt of the photos when everyone is back from the show after the week is over.

Here's video, in-case you missed it, of the invasion stripes being painted on the TFL C-53 at Oshkosh earlier this week (the nose art was also hand painted while this was taking place, but with far more care): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LUCmgsKiRNs

I love the shot of the guys hand-painting the Invasion stripes on the C-47. That is the way D-Day should be done! Very cool.

No official lockdown on photos that I am aware of - I can't get Photobucket to load on the PC here in Registration though. Absolutely spectacular night photo of the Lake MI Wildcat next to a pristine flying copy by Tyson Rinninger (SP?) in EAA Today this morning.

At 331 registered right now - we've been about 10 ahead of last year each day so far. T-6's way out in front at 79 total, not counting Tora replicas

From some of the photos I've seen, nice to see the Tora team in larger numbers. How many aircraft did they have attend?
