B-17G (NMF with red wingtips & stabilizers) just flew SW over western end of Yucca Valley, turning south towards Palm Springs. Is it Yankee Lady or Aluminum Overcast?

Just called the museum; Miss Angela is still parked and the lady I spoke to said they are having a TBM demo flight on Sunday but don't know about a B-17 coming in. Hmmm...

I saw a Nanchang CJ-6A, green over grey, couldn't make out national markings. Eastbound over Lake Lewisville at about 1540 CDT. That's a good-sounding radial on that airplane! :D

Abilene. Longer runway. We've only had a couple small helicopters. I have seen the Skycranes fly around but they go to Abilene also.

My office is off the south end of the Greensboro NC airport. Last week was Air Force One (not sure which tail number) shooting approaches or touch & goes. Today was a C-5 doing the same. The 10,000ft runway attracts the big boys. Have seen other modern military...nothing interesting with pistons unfortunately.

Saw what looked like an F-18 Hornet minus wings and nose, completely wrapped in form-fitting blue canvas tarps, being hauled on a flatbed eastward through downtown Yucca Valley on Highway 62 about two hours ago.
