Yup, and all of 'em red tails. If Raiders would swallow their pride a bit and change to PB-1 blue it'd make ID easier until company visits. :D

Some Howard conversion type heading southeast towards Rochester, MN. The lighting was all wrong to tell which one, but good enough to tell it had itty-bitty Ventura rudders and not big, fat Harpoon ones.

Oh yeah, the thermometer might make it all the way into the upper forties today...

Saw the red-cowled T-6 from Cavanaugh on downwind heading north out of Addison as I left the apartment earlier. They've been busy since yesterday with rides or currency flights. Thought I heard the P-40 yesterday, but couldn't verify it.

DC-3 / C-49J "Southern Cross" was doing pilot training today. They did three hops, which involved the normal takeoff and landing plus three touch-and-goes each time. So, the VFM crew were treated to plenty of Wright Cyclone engine noise today! :D 8) :!: :!: :!:

Cheers,

A Zero replica just flew over my apartment at the lower tip of NYC.

I keep seeing this around here. Anyone know who owns one in these parts?

Thanks!

I saw a C-47 with invasion stripes fly over about 4,000 ft. from Bridgeport, TX. headed to Ft. Worth on Saturday about 1100.

That would have been Southern Cross. See my posting above.
