I noticed that yesterday morning. Earlier in the week though, the T-28 wouldn't be there real early in the morning. I actually saw it arrive two mornings via the webcam. Might be flying in and out. Warbird volunteer??

The Airventure website now has the webcams available. There seems to be an issue opening them though. All you have to do is right click on the webcam you want, and then bookmark it . Then go to your bookmarks, click the link and it should work.

Looks like I know what I'll be doing while wishing I could be a few hours north next week.

Does anyone know about possible World War I replicas at OSH this year? Those are always a favorite for me, and we hear so much about new WWI projects from Airdrome, Golden Age, Yagen, etc. that there seems to be a bit of a renaissance under way and I wonder whether any will be displayed/flown at OSH. I realize WWI pursuits have near zero range and cross-country suitability so they pretty much have to be trucked, reassembled and re-rigged on site, but ... just hoping.

The T-28 has morphed into an OV-1 now.

Also, just saw the Airzoo's (USAAC marked) Trimotor taxi around. Good year for 3-engined tin sheds, it seems.

Things are warming up on the field with impressive close-formation passes by the golf carts and mini bikes, and a few Stearmans, J-3s and backward-flying Rutanoid things taking up the choice parking spots in their respective areas.

The Spartan C3-225 that is local here in Tulsa and which just underwent restoration is leaving here tomorrow morning at 5AM for Oshkosh. Coupled with the EAA's C3-225 that is in the museum, this will the first time in a really, really long time that two Spartan C3s were in this close proximity to each other... go say hi to Dennis Henson and the guys!

I have to say that "Baby Duck" is my favorite Mustang! Looking forward to seeing Collings A36 as well as the contenders for Warbird Grand Champion.

Actually a good place to buy. I bought my standard flight suit at Oshkosh, at the fleamarket section, IIRC. I'm entitled to all the patches it's got, including the ones I was given (Thanks Stormin' Jr.). It's been useful for this non-pilot sometimes photographer on a number of occasions mainly for having accessible pockets when strapped in to ex-military aircraft. I'm please to say two other primary uses haven't been tested, including the main one.
