Most of the time, Mr Roush is at a race during our show, and that is why his mustangs sit on the ground. (out of 10 years, he has had the chance to fly only one show) It is still up in the air, if the B will be done in time, we can only cross our fingers!

Didn't Ed and Connie Bowlin fly Roush's Mustangs at Thunder one year? Any chance an arrangement like that could be made again?

They did one year, (2005?) but it was because everything just worked out right, for that to happen.

Also, it looks like we will have Vlado as our heritage pilot this year.

It was confirmed today that Mr. Brad Hood will be flying P-51D Mustang "Hurry Home Honey" with the F-16 East Coast Demo for the Heritage Flight. :D

The aircraft lineup was updated as of April 22.

As a jet warbird lover I am excited to see Will Ward's MiG-21 added to the lineup in addition to his previously announced MiG-17. Looking forward to hopefully seeing a few more jets added eventually (WHF A-4B, T-2 and Maybe F-86F??) and maybe a T-33??

I am not much of a T-38 enthusiast, but the NASA T-38 is an interesting addition.

Hi All,

I know that this question may meet with some negative impact, but if this particular show is being dedictaed to the P-47 Thunderbolt, I am curious as to why there are not more than 5 scheduled to be in attendence ? Are there plans in the works for others such as the LSFM Thunderbolt "Tarheel Hal", or perhaps the one that was most recently sold, (I cannot recall the ID of the plane) but is has green or black striped nose cowl. And if there are others that may attend, would any of the ones from Callifornia be willing to make the trip ? The one named Big Chief, or the Curtiss built Razorback Jug come to mind. The line-up thus far looks very impressive I must say and if I can attend only one show this year, this is gonna be it !! 8)

The LSFM website has shown for a while that Tarheel Hal is coming to T.O.M. Perhaps a final agreement has not been made between the show and the LSFM. Hopefully it will be there. Six P-47s would be Great!

Hi Paul,
Just to clarify, the P-47 line-up is a salute. Our intentions are to have a nice, unique selection of T-Bolts on the ramp. We by no means planned to try to pull every possible Thunderbolt to the show.
This 10th Anniversary Thunder Over Michigan was designed to not focus on a "mega gathering" of one type of aircraft but rather pull some of the most popular components (WWII Battle, ADT, multiple B-17's, both B-24's, P-47's, etc.) together and bring a real varied selction to the line-up.
We have some more "mega gatherings" coming down the pipe and those will be announced soon
Thanks for the support of the Yankee Air Museum.
Regards,
Kevin
P.S. As for "Tarheel Hal" we have been in communication with LSFM and we will see if it can all work out.

Kevin,

Thanks for the update...it is much appreciated. Still, this sounds like an airshow to DEFINITLEY make plans for. I hope that the LSAM Tarheel Hal can make the trip. 5 is nice, and a GREAT thing, but SIX...oh my my my ................. be still my beating heart

There are less than 20 Photo Tour/Pit passes available for Sunday, August 10.

As mentioned several weeks ago, Saturday is completely sold out!

Cheers,
Tom Walsh.

I have attended Thunder the last two years and bought three tickets early this year but it looks like I won't be able to go. My dad will be undergoing chemo over the summer and will be too wiped to sit out in the sun all day. I bought them at a discount along with a parking pass and would like to sell them for what I paid...$10 each for the tickets and $5.00 for the parking. Buy one, buy 'em all...makes no difference.

pm me to set something up if interested.

Dave

(thanks Scott for letting me post this here)

Although the line-up is pretty much set we never stop working on it until show time. Keep watch as you never know what might materialize :D
