Aside from the attractions for us bomber fans ~ I noticed that the aircraft line up now includes the Collings Foundation TP-51C Betty Jane AND .....
P-51B Mustang "Old Crow" belonging to Jack Roush

What a formation shot that would make !!!!

Got my tickets! It's going to be a heck of a couple of weeks - first AirVenture, then pack the SUV and head up and around Lake Michigan with my 6-year old for a father/son camping trip to Thunder. Can't hardly wait!

Republic's P-47 Thunderbolt made its combat debut in England 65 years ago on March 10, 1943.

Sweet Michael! Can’t wait for this show!

And since the show is back in the old format, I was wondering if we might see the German birds that are suppose to be at the show parked more closely together? Wouldn’t any photo taking warbird lover, love to see a Ju-52 and a 109E with a full German campsite behind them? :D Reenactors included of course

Also, is there any availability for Jim Beasley to bring Princess Elizabeth? I know there’s probably a lot of things that need to happen to get another 51 at the show, but man! Wouldn’t that be great to see a flyby of 3 Razorback P-51s?!

D models are accepted too.

I wouldn't get too excited about formations of high-back P-51s just yet. This will be the third (or is it fourth?) year running that the Roush P-51B has been committed to summer airshows in the early spring despite still being spread all over a hangar floor. When I've heard that it has flown, I'll start to take these commitments seriously.

Well heres to hoping! Though even if the B is there at the show, it might not fly. It seems that Mr. Roush doesnt usually fly during the Show. Ive been to Thunder only twice, both times Gentleman Jim sitting comfortably on the tarmac.

Most of the time, Mr Roush is at a race during our show, and that is why his mustangs sit on the ground. (out of 10 years, he has had the chance to fly only one show) It is still up in the air, if the B will be done in time, we can only cross our fingers!

We are planning to have the 109 and Ju-52 next to each other this year, we will see if it works out.

Warbirdkid...If you want to delete a double (or in your case quadruple) post,
hit the "edit" icon. When the page re-appears, you'll see an "X" on the far right. Click on that and it'll delete your post.

Mudge the deleterious
(That don't sound right  )

ps...I don't hold out much hope the Roush will be there this year, either. NASCAR races at Watkins Glen that weekend. :(
