I wish this year would just end.

Sad.

It was a pilot with the T-28 Trojan Horsemen Warbird Formation Acrobatic Team.

I don`t think I can stand to come to this forum anymore. Every time I decide to lurk the only thing I learn of is tragedy.

My thoughts are with the family.

Man, what a year. My thoughts are with the family.

There is video on you tube. I watched it, and they were doing an opposing pass at show center.

cmon guys, lets keep this civil. If you need to vent on someone, there are plenty to shoot at on the Daily Mail comments section. We're all hurt and pissed off at this situation, but I don't think any of us would suggest that planes stop flying over this.

Point your virtual cannons here, not at each other:

News reports say that the plane was registered to John Mangan. According to the Horsemen's website, Jack "Flash" Mangan is part of the alternate wing. It goes on to say that he is a former USAF fighter pilot and had been awarded three Meritorious Service Medals and the Tactical Air Command's Instructor Pilot of the Year.

Is anyone sure it was him flying? Dont they frequently fly planes belonging to another member? I'm surprised nothing official has come out from the team yet.

I host the Trojan Horsemen website. There are not likely to be any details on there for a while, since the webmaster is a professional pilot and spends a lot of time travelling.

I have no information to add, other than the media attention surrounding the event is gobbling lots of my bandwidth, so there may be another crash soon....my web server.

It was Jack Mangan that perished in yesterdays crash. This has been a very sad weekend for the Warbird community. My thoughts and prayers go to all family and friends.
