This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I saw one recently on some gal of a Mustang.. but if it hadn't actually been labeled "P51" I would have thought it was a Hurricane...

Gotta have a good artist. While I was there, a young lad was having a portrait done on the back of his leg of his Dad's grad picture when he joined the Marines in the 60's. Pretty cool as the artist that owns the studio is a portrait specialist.

A good artist and beware where you put the tattoo. A girl I know told me of her sister's best friend. She had a cute little teddy bear with a balloon tattooed on one of her breasts. Ten years and two kids later it suddenly looked like a monkey with a fishing rod...

Go to the "about" page and you'll see mine.

I think I have the winner...
There is a seaman stationed at the Naval Station at Andrews AFB that has an SBD tattooed on his arm. His grandfather was an SBD rear gunner and he wanted to honor his contributions to freedom.
As Im not technically adept at uploading pictures to WIX go check out the Dixie Wing Facebook site in a few days....

Where's Nathan Dalrymple on this? His is awesome. I'd get one just like his, but I don't want to mark this beautiful body.

Girls with airplane tattoos?!! I guess some chicks do dig Warbirds after all! Once I get enough scratch together, this will show up on my left shoulder:

In honor of my grandfather, his service, his squadron, and his plane. I have ideas of how I'd expand the tattoo to make it a half sleeve but thats far down the road. I first have to actually get this piece first.

Nope, the one you linked to is obviously a P51, the one I saw was on the shoulder & looked like a 12yo had drawn it.
