Only two apparently, at least according to the thread at Plane Talk. The stripped 190 and the one shown as a fuse only during transport are both the ex-Tom Blair machine.

Awesome, I can't WAIT to see Jerry's 190 when it gets here... in full 1943 I./JG 1 markings, no less. Oh man, it's gonna be sweet... :) And I'm beyond thrilled to see that hideous fake paintwork on the ex-Blair 190 has finally been removed... I just hope that the new owner goes with something a little more period-accurate. Yeah, it's their bird, their money, so they can paint it how they want- doesn't mean I have to like it, though!

Thanks for the pics!

Lynn

Very interesting post, thank you.
I wonder which 190 in the pics belongs to Jerry?
Theres a 190 lurking in Ontario, CA now that is swinging a 4 bladed prop. Will it fly for the PoF Airshow?

The white/black checkered cowl 190 is Jerry's.

Isn't there a Tora Zero based there too?

Today MeierMotors did two things :D at first .... engine test with the Focke Wulf Fw190 A8/N. Now the plane has got his german registration number D-FMFW. The team has changed the 3-bladed prop into the 4-bladed prop matching to the original ASH-engine. The testpilot who made the test was Marc "Leon" Mathis

Thanks for that update Matthias! I'm glad to see another Flug Werk in the air after two have been grounded. Why did D-FMFW have a 4 bladed prop? Did they test it with a TU-2 engine or something?

While I "get" the war and all that, and realize that Germany has to do what it has to do, a Luftwaffe aircraft of that era just doesn't look quite right to me without a swastika.

Other thoughts?

You're right, it doesn't look right, but that's their law. I'm sure that once Yagen gets a hold of it, it will be painted on appropriately. I would be absolutely shocked if it wasn't.

Matthias, if a wrecked Luftwaffe plane from the Second War was, say, recovered from a lake, and then was displayed in Germany at a museum in the same condition it was in when it was brought up, would the swastika have to be covered?
