My flight on "Pacific Prowler" 7-12-08

Sun Jul 13, 2008 2:18 pm

Yesterday my Dad and I went for a flight in the B-25 Pacific Prowler at the Arlington Airshow. It's gonna be hard for any other day this year to top this one. Enjoy some pics!

Great photos!
I still say that the best overall bomber warbird ride is a B-25 (as long as you can get into the glass nose!).
It's really a unique ride!
Looks like you migh have to make a new AVATAr now!

Great pictures! What a thrill that must have been.

You're pictures turned out very nicely, and the amazing scenery didn't hurt either. Lucky guy!!!

Cheers,

Yes, VERY nice -- thank you for posting! Why, I felt hot and sweaty, soundly jostled and half deaf just from looking at your photos, such FUN! :D

Looks like you had a grand time, SpookyTheCat! I'm more than a little jealous. When she's not touring, Pacific Prowler lives in our hangar. I've done a little work on her, but I've never been up for a flight. . .

Thanks for all the nice comments. We had a blast and it was so cool I got to do this with my Dad. The scenery was amazing. Definately worth the $$$.

Very cool and great to see you had the hatch open. What a fun time it must have been for the both of you.

That was a total luck shot on the taxi back in. It's Ross Granley's who flies a dual Yak routine with his father in the Yak 55 (In case you're not in the know  ).

Here are some more shots.

I watched Bud fly FHC's P-40 on Saturday then he had to jam up to Arlington to fly the Yak for the EAA show. Great shots!
