HMMM- Now why would one be in need of a gun nose for an A26- Can't see that going on the Skyraider, Huey, or Spooky- (Not that Al wouldn't try )

does this mean you have something new on the way Rick- pherhaps something powered by 2 R-2800's that would give a Mustang a run for its money?

I don't know if they will part with it, but pacific coast air museum has one, I know they are using the bomber nose on a/c but has the gun nose as a spare?

Call Airspray in Alberta Canada. I think there might be one or two in their junk pile..

Also a guy here in Australia is advertising on Barnstormers some ex-Indonesian nose panels etc..

If you buy my A-26 gun nose you have to take the rest of the aircraft..haha..

Just be sure that nose never belonged to the Navy at any time before you buy it, or they'll come and take it from you and place it in the Ocean for safe keeping...............................................

All A-26 noses are interchangeable. The six gun and eight gun noses only differ in gun positions. the side panels on a six fit and eight and vv.

My Invader is a C model with a B model nose. These changes were done in the field on many occassions..

I know that- I was just ribbing Rick some and tieing it in with the recurrent thread about how our Navy is protecting us from aviation history in a lot of cases................ :P

Ring Carl @ Aero Trader and get new glass if yours in cracked. Gun and glass noses are correct on C and B models. They may have been built in one way [C glass/B gun] however in operations the gun noses were preferred and the design concept was that they should be interchangeable - which was done. Either look good..although the glass nose looks a bit 'gay'!
