Just wait 'til y'all get to see this one in person! There's not a mirror in my house that reflects as well as this airplane does. I wonder if Red Bull would let me keep the airplane at Austin Acres for a while.

Gary do you or anyone else know what the Red Bull fleet consists of right now? ... and are the majority of their aircraft polished like the P-38?

I'm not too "up" on the Red Bull thing. What is their goal? ... do they have a goal and museum? are their aircraft all in Europe? .... ??????

When are they going to finish repainting it in "White Lightnin'" colors?

The link to the FlyingBulls's website.

They have some rare warbids in "civilian hands"

The home base of their aircraft is at Salzburg in Austria. Find some fleet info by this link:

Beautiful is an understatement....I was wondering though, if I saw the instrument panel as being an Up To Date instrument panel...I am not in touch with the 38 panels

Thanks Gary and Iclo, a wonderful restoration, but by the looks of all the other aircraft in the fleet, looks like a great big "RED BULL" is soon to be painted on the P-38 somewhere .... :( .... oh well, it's their airplane, they can do what they want .... I love it anyway, and would go way out of my way to see her fly.

Wow, what a beaut! Excuse my ignorance, but what are the 2 white cap things on the nose in front of the windscreen in the 4th picture from the bottom?

Taylor, to answer your question about the USAAC insignia, I've heard that Red Bull doesn't like full military markings. I think they like to distance themselves from appearing "too military". Perhaps it's about not pissing off their anti-war customers. Does anyone know for sure?

They look like GPS antenna to me, I could be wrong though. Very nice restoration.

Take a look at their website ... that seems not the case.
