That must have been the mid 80's, before "aeroshell" square. They used to park Concorde down by the warbirds, and people had to eat their ice-cream off of the flightline. The John Deere gator hadn't been invented yet. Those were the days.

I think that was 1988, since I was there.
The scary part is after all these years I actually have all that useless info running around inside my head!

BTW, that formation was better and tighter than any of the mass P-51 flights at GML this year. They cetainly were the days for some of us!

I think the airplane identified as Shipley's is Jimmy Hunt's Contrary Mary. Big Beautiful Doll didn't fly until 1993 and this was well before that...

Also, I think it was Dennis BRADLEY, not Brady flying "Old Boy".

Wow... I'm surprised you haven't been called a blasphemer by one of our British friends for that line....

It's "...that is Concorde on the warbird ramp." or" ...that is a Concorde on the warbird ramp."

Concorde is a name, not a thing, thus there is no "the" placed in front when talking about it. Any Brit will be very quick to remind you of that.

Great pics though, even though you have proven to be a real "Colonial". Hope to see more.
