You are tempting me...
Kenji Miyazaki and Hideaki Fujii have done great strides in this research. Their work details much more that the tail codes of every plane on Saipan, they have also assigned pilots to most!
I shall not be tempted to reveal the answer...
Perhaps -in the meanwhile- someone might guess it correctly!
