Cool Peter. What a small world. We probably passed each other at Madera 86. I didn't know who you were then but later in the early 90s called on you for info on the Spitfire TP298 for an article, which after that was sadly lost in a fatal crash. I think Bill Greenwood was also at Madera 86 in his Spitfire.

Yes Bill was there.

My wife and I actually drove over with Gordon and Barbara Plaskett but departed with Jack Erickson for a couple of days at Medford before the company pilot dropped us back down to King City.

My wife thought it was 'neat', that enquiring about Crater Lake being in the vicinity, the pilot just back tracked the Citation a good few miles and gave us a full circuit on the perimeter.

Ah yes TP298. Very very sad...and avoidable.
