Small correction to the airport codes. K is correct for the US. However, P is used for pacific rim countries. Not PA, PH or PG. Fairbanks, Alaska is PFAI, Hilo, Hawaii is PITO, etc.

In the ICAO flight planning world

PA = Alaska
PACD = Cold Bay
PAFA = Fairbanks (FAI is the VORTAC)

PH = Hawaii
PHTO = Hilo, (ITO is the VORTAC)
PHNL = Honolulu

PG = Guam
PGUM = Guam

In many cases an ICAO ident does not map cleanly to an IATA ident. Hilo is a good example PHTO vs ITO, you cannot just put a "P" in front of the ITO and call it good. Filing a FP to PITO would error out, as there is no such location.

Finally, back in the office after a day of digging out of a nice snow drift

Hope this helps
