This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

I'm sure it has to do with the over-burdening of adds.

I successfully get in, maybe, 1 out of 3 attempts. A bit frustrating.

Sometimes I get to the site but can't get into forums. It just times out.
But the ads are always there.

Other times, I can get in for awhile, but it takes awhile for a thread to open.
So, really hit or miss.
I suppose that's why there haven't been many posts lately...

I made thread myself about the recent site problems. I hope everything will be fixed soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if large-scale scraping to feed large Language Models is a factor. Difficult and time-consuming to block.

I would pay to have no ads like a lot of podcasts have.

I've gone days without being able to access the site. Most of the time it just times-out. It seems to be worse in the last few weeks for some reason.

Not a lot of new posts.
Difficult to tell whether it's because of folks staying away (after all, you can't post if you can't log on) or whether there is diminishing interest overall.
Seems like 90% of the posts are from about a dozen members.
The same thing happened to the once very active Key Publishing (FlyPast and The Aeroplane) forum.
A technical issue went from bad to worse and everyone left. It still operates, but at about 1% of its old level. Edit n the old days, you could ask almost any question about warbirds and get a good answer in hours.

I suspect its mostly due to the log-on issues. If you constantly struggle to log-on or post, you eventually lose interest and give up.

Logging in is certainly a pain, but I’m still getting quite a few PM requests, so I guess that’s still a good thing. I’m just finding it difficult to find the time to post requests. Also trying not to saturate the forum with too many posts too close to each other.
I’ll also take a guess that a few other social media sites have been attracting a lot of attention away from WIX. There’s a lot out there elsewhere.

Especially when it runs so slowly and then simply drops off. Remembering trying to load a program using 25+ floppy disks and the computer stopping input after 22.
