Texans 51-14373, 51-17359, 51-17363, 51-14421, 51-14872, 51-14462 appear in WD4 with Art Medore in 2000. Where did these aircraft come from? Does anybody know and does anybody have pictures?
I would suspect most of those are just registrations... Also search under "Banaire Enterprises" as owner and you'll find more. You'll note thtat only N3100G is shown as ever having had an airworthiness certificate!
Banaire used to be in the business of selling registrations, dataplates, and logs for aircraft that had been scrapped in the 1950's. That way aircraft built from parts that had no identity could assume one. This also allowed some Harvards to be licensed in standard category as T-6's rather than experimental which would be required for a Canadian built aircraft. This is a big secret though, so don't tell anyone!
Any T-6 with the manufacturers name of "North American-Banaire" or "North American-Medore" probably is one of these assumed identities. Now go look at the P-51 registrations and see how many of those have hyphenated manufacturers names... Built from parts????
Oh, and there is more than one Art Medore, but the other one is related.
