A Beautiful Beech I Bet ...

Beech JB-1 Traveller. First delivered military Beechcraft, c/n 115, BuNo 0801 in blue and silver, marked with Captain’s four-stripe Epaulette rank card. Civil C-17R purchased by Navy.

Loved to have seen it in color.

Looks like a colorized photo.
In reality, wasn't the Navy blue on VIP ships a bit darker?

Have to agree it appears colorized but, I like the creative approach taken by the person doing so! Tri-color blue with a gray whale tail and yellow training wings. Pretty!

That’s not a colorized photo. It’s a color rendering, like you would see on model airplane boxes.

Not if you have tried to land one in a crossword or have time in only modern GA types and limited tailwheel experience.
(That according to a friend who restored and flew one for several years).

Landing a Staggerwing in a crossword is never recommended. It would only fit eleven down and that would constitute a heavy touchdown.

Anyhow... nice Beech!
