Exactly how stock we will present her has yet to be discussed.
The amount of Gray and black imron on items already restored is a big issue.

Took a look thru a couple of the WWII Logs and she travelled a bit.
9/42-3/44 Bounced back and forth from NAS JAX and NAS Sanford until sent to CC for O/H.
Interesting that on 9/28/43 it had an Instrument Flying Hood Installed in the rear Cockpit IAW Jacksonville Dwg #E-076.
7/8/44 it went to JAX
7/11/44 Lee Field VF-6TU-3
8/14/44 SO JAX
8/16/44 SONASJAX#1
8/17/44 Glenview- Ferry JX-NCQ-CB-NA-ID-NBU
19/45 NAS Miami- NAGS Flight Unit
10/24/45 Daytona Beach for Storage
2/18/46 to Woodward Field, Camden SC where it was sold by War Assets Admin.

I've seen photos of TCraft and CUBS stored the same way. When space is limited you can get a lot more stuff into that space by using the unused space found under the raised tail of another tailwheel equipped aircraft rather than using the more 'normal' tail down position, just put the props horizontal. the in hanger shots show seams sealed with tar or some sort of preservative.

Is it possible that since only 94 and 99 seem to have painted tails that they could have been some sort of flight leader and assistant or deputy and the yellow panel on 99 made it easier to sort out who the boss was in a sky full of similar aircraft when some blew 'Beer Call'?

Post War in a GA Blimp Hangar-


Some of the colors denote bases, squadrons, Instrument trainers, Gunnery, ect.
Post war they seemed to go back to Bright Yellow.

Not enough or too much booze but what is the config of all the aircraft on the left side of this photo? It's like one of those photos that when you stare at it long enough, they all turn to fish turning to birds. Wings folded, understood but what are they?

Are you talking about the SNJs on the left, or the other aircraft in the hangar?

The SNJ's all have their wings removed as in the first photo and are standing on their noses, tails in the air. the other aircraft on the right and a few at the top of the left with actual folded wings appear to be Curtis Helldivers.
