Does anyone else have photos of R/C aircraft with the real thing? This photo was taken in August of 2000 at Fleming Field(KSGS) in So. St. Paul at the CAF show. The real Sea Fury is Elsworth Getchell's WH587, the model if I recall correctly had about a 7 foot wingspan. I didn't catch the builder/pilot's name, but I did run into him at the CAF show a few months ago in Red Wing. He's now flying a 1/3 scale F4U-1(unfortunately I didn't get any photos). The Sea Fury model was lost a few years ago when it flew through a chain link fence after a reciever failure.

Hi, not sure how to post it or even if it is accurate for this area but I do have a pic of a real and r/c tiger moth together. while not in RAAF colours ( or any air force's colours actually ) they are both in the same colour scheme.

The Tiger Moth is definately appropriate for this forum. As for hosting images, I have been using a service called imageshack, you can just upload the image, and it will even give you the text for a properly formated image link for the forum.

There was a Polikarpov Po-2 (CSS-13) flying with a large-scale RC model at the Radom show in Poland last August, unfortunately, as it was on in the morning just as I was arriving (have you ever tried Polish trains!!!???), I didn't get any photos
