I've had the opportunity to visit the NMUSAF a few times but never for more than a partial day. For 25 years or more, my Dad has been saying he'd like to make the trip to Dayton, particularly to see Bockscar, the B-36, and the XB-70. Well, he just turned 70 and I told him we weren't waiting any longer, so we spent two days there last week ... and still didn't see everything.
Unfortunately, we didn't have time for the Restoration Tour. As a current AF pilot, I drove my folks over to the hangar and politely asked if we could squeeze in for a :15 look at the Belle and Swoose but was told that was strictly against policy. I was disappointed but that's life. That just leaves something to see next time.
