Any info out there on the status of this nose section: interior condition, pictures, etc.?

Here is a shot from its web page:

Here is the web page:

She was stripped out when I got her. I have since acquired a lot of interior equipment but no restoration work has been completed to date. Still looking for more parts. Do you have anything available? I have lots of trade material available.

Thanks,
Taigh

Here's a couple shots of your B-29 taken at Universal Studios back in '86:

I'm assuming it's yours, anyway; was your cockpit cut open like that before?

Hello Chris,

That's the same nose. Thanks for posting the photos. Yes it was cut up like that when I got it. I had found a partial green house section cut from a China Lake bird which helped to replace a lot of the missing structure.

Would it be possible to use your pictures on the web page?

Thanks,

Taigh

Hey Scott,

I do not have any photos of the interior and I am a few thousand miles away from the shop right now. I will try to take some when I get back. If I forget to do so, which is likely, please remind me and I will get some for you.

It is pretty rough but it is better than nothing.

Taigh

Neat. I'm just curious no matter what the condition. Maybe it will generate some donations...

I think that would fit in nicely at Austin Acres. ;-)

Hi Taigh,

Sure, you can use the photos for your web page - sorry I couldn't get closer shots but Universal's security might have had an issue with me jumping off the tour tram and running across the lot! :axe:
