That serial number should be LK973. I hope it is a misprint in the newspaper but I'll email to correct the details. One of the crew was an American from San Francisco. Strangely enough, that Halifax was built under sub-contract by Rootes Securities in a factory at Liverpool's Speke Airport. The building was demolished some years back but I can see the site from my workplace in the tower. Tracing a photo of 973 is going to be almost impossible but you never know.
