My model is to have a piece of this aircraft as the jointing piece for the main spar, the heart of it, in effect.
I am trying to find any photo's of this aircraft before it crashed. I have many photo's of it as it is now, but none of the tail number, markings it carried, or the nose art. I know it had a black underside, and carried yellow markings somewhere as these colours are present on the wreck.
It was known to have taken part in Operation Crossroads, and was at one point part of the 16 PR squadron, 91 PR Group.
If anyone can give me any pointers on where I might find more information on this aircraft or possibly a few photo's I would be grateful.
My target is to try and have the model built and flying for the anniversary of the crash.
Regards
Richard
