Allens people are quite probably already tracking down pictures and ops history of what the original markings were for the airframe when it was brand new, and if it had no famous squadron or pilot, they will select an 'appropriate' set of markings that will pay tribute to a deserving pilot with a Northwest connection as they did with the P-47. Those markings pay tribute to a Western Washington P-47 pilot Maj. R. Jenkins, but should have been in "WILD" Bill Crumps markings, he liked to fly with the squadron mascot in the plane, a coyote, bring on your cocker :D :D

We painted SBK II based on old photos we had of it.

At a fundraiser we had for it, Revis was asked about the name, Scatterbrain Kid. He told us there was a song he liked at the time that had a line in it "...you're as gentle as the rain, oh how I love you, my little scatterbrain". So he called his wife "Scatterbrain". On the boat overseas, he learned that his wife was expecting a child. Not knowing if it would be a boy or girl, he would refer to it as Scatterbrain Kid, so he named his plane after his not-yet-born child.
