Arrivals and practice flights make the day
before Flying Legends Air Show something of a must for warbird fans
We were blessed with some fine weather right up until the heavens opened mid afternoon !
Lets start our tour with a look in The Fighter Collection hangar, where we find the fuselage of the P-47 has returned fron Chino.
Engine test stands come in many shapes and sizes ~ the power runs of both Merlin and Griffon engines always attracts a crowd on show days
Fellow WIXer "VikingBoss" gives the test stand some scale ......
Ed Shippley had been assigned daisy cutting duties
After lunch things got a little hectic. The Scandinavian Historic Flight P-51D sits waiting to fly a practice display .....
And has to wait until the next arrival has landed
Hmmmmm where will they park the Pink Lady .....
And that's all for today ! Must get some sleep ~ there's an air show tomorrow !!!
