This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

They have been posted on here in the last month or so....... You may want to try a search for them.
I forget the fine details beyond, there isn't much left......

Except for some parts this would be a data plate rebuild.Everything was busted and I mean busted. For what they want for this I can supply new parts that will get you alot farther along.

There was a dicussion on WIX a while ago about this airframe. It sounds like it would have to be a total rebuild or newbuild with the data plate.
It would make an interesting museum piece "as is" but it looks like a total lost cause. Definitely not worth anything near $300,000.00.
I'd probably be willing to pay $40,000, but it really isn't worth what their asking.

Thanks for the info on this I guess I missed the thread on it before. It doesn't look very complete.

He started at 500K and it didn't take long to drop to 300k.
30K might be a little high for that pile of junk. Worth a good laugh if nothing else.

Personally, I think its originallity makes it more valuable as a historic artifact than a potential restoration project. Like everyone says, in order to even make a presentable static restoration 90% of the original plane would have to be replaced. For a flyer, I doubt if more that a few bits and pieces would be usable.
