Just a quick question. I'm writing up a model review on an A-26 kit, and wanted to give a bit of background. I haven't seen pics of any operating on the US fire scene in recent years, are the Airspray birds in Canada also retired from firefighting?

Thanks!

Steve

Airspray website seems to indicate the B-26 is still active.

To my knowledge the Lynch Airtankers were the last A-26 US operators. They had the big auction shortly after Always was released.

There are no A-26 air tankers flying on contract. The Canadians were the last to use them and there last contract year was 2000 or 2001 I believe. Just a side note; they were also the last to use the TBM, and B-25 as an air tankers as well.
