Anyone know of the indentity of the SNJ "Snoopy" that was used as a
photo ship at the Breckenridge show in 89?

Last I heard it had burned in a hangar fire at Conroe, TX somewhere
in the early 90's.

Hey Steve, (tell Brenda hello!). Snoopy was owned by the late Gary Hudson. Snoopy was indeed lost in Gary's hanger fire which also consumed one of the Tora Zeros. I did not google and search for the year, or the Sn, but someone else will have it. For those who purchased video tape or DVD's from Point Five Video, almost all of our air to air video was shot from the back seat of Snoopy by Steve Palmer.... one of the best camera/editor guys I have ever worked with/for. I was partners with Gary on Snoopy for a while. Snoopy's s/n was 49-3270, and registered as N3166G. We bought Snoopy from Eddy and Mike Burke in 1985, and the hangar fire was in June, 1994. There also was a Val replica, owned by Charlie Angel, and a C-45, besides the Zero replica, destroyed in the hangar fire.

I remember seeing Snoopy at some of the Air Shows in the Valley ,and I seem to remember seeing it at the DFW airshow in Denton Texas. sad that is was lost as were the other planes in that hanger fire Was Super Chicken (A-T6) in the same airport at that time ? glad that I have a few shots of her, they are some of the few that are dear to my heat as I am a Big Snoopy Fighter pilot fan !

Yes, I was at a DFW Wing open house in Lancaster with the O-2 the same time that the hangar burned.

ThunderChicken wasn't there. Pete Howard had sold it to a gentleman in Indiana, I believe, and David Manire delivered it prior to the fire. During the delivery flight, an engine problem developed and David put the Chicken in a corn field. The airplane has been repaired and is flying with a different paint job now.

And Snoopy was a T-6G, not an SNJ, for the record.
